“Good morning” a voice unexpectedly spoke. Blythe popped her head up and glanced around the room looking for the source. Her eyes landed on a figure, sitting in a chair in the corner of her bedroom slightly behind the dresser. A shock of fear ran through her. Abisha the little winged one tensed with awareness. Blythe hand pressed slightly to keep her controlled.
“Who are you? What are you doing here?” Blythe spoke, as she eyed the man. Watching him as he leaned forward into the light.
“You can call me Damion” he said. He was a handsome man. With perfect rich brow hair, layered and combed back. His face was masculine with a five o’clock shadow. His eyes were dark, shoulder broad, solid chest, firm arms. Blythe felt weak at the knees for a minute, but then felt annoyed when her second question was not answered.
“What are you doing here?” She repeated keeping her hand on the little winged one.
“You know why I’m here” started Damion with a slight smirk on his face he added.
“I’m here because no one cares about you like I do. Your parents don’t care. Why did they abandon you so young? Your brother is right you know. Who wants someone who is tarnished? Know one wants your help. You have such an ugly past and you will carry that to the future. That it who you are. So I have come to take care of you. I brought you something that will take all your pain away. No more sadness, you’ll feel great”. Out of a bag he pulled out a bottle of liquor and a container of pills.
“Are you insane!?” Blythe snapped as she pushed the gifts away. “Alcohol and drugs are the cause of my tarnished past and you want me to repeat what my parents did? I am not my past! Get out! Get out!! NOW! IN JESUS NAME!!!”
In that instant Abisha, the little winged one flew out from under the blanket. The emerald green dragon did not hesitate as it latched on to the top of Damion’s head. Her wings franticly beating the sides of his face. The claws at the joint of her wing digging and tearing the skin making him bleed. Damion stood up trying to grab Abisha. She bit him repeatedly with every grab. Using her talons Abisha heaved her body up gouging the scalp on Damion skull. Blood poured and spattered everywhere. Blythe never saw Abisha so aggressive. She was such a sweet dragon usually. There was only one person God allowed her to attack and that would be Satan.
“AAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaagh!” Damion screamed. He started to spin. There was a loud CRACK! And Damion was gone.
“Wow… I wish God gave everyone a little winged one, together along with the bible it was helpful to fight Satan off ” Blythe said as Abisha fluttered the washroom were the tap trickled a stream of water for Abisha to drink. She cleaned herself then gracefully flew back to Blythe. Curled up to her and cooed.

One line didn't seem to fit correctly, that being that Blythe became "weak at the knees." Since she apparently never got out of her bed during the whole story, it wouldn't make sense that she would feel that way...possibly a queasy fluttering in her stomach instead? Although I liked the thought, because Satan is beautiful and tempting and the lure of his promises certainly might make one weak at the knees if standing across from him.
I know the sci-fi topic was a stretch for a lot of people this week, so kudos to you for giving it a go. Keep writing. Great promise here.
