Psa. 42:7 Deep calleth unto deep at the noise of thy waterfalls: All thy waves and thy billows are gone over me.
In the times of our deepest concerns, we will not focus on our despair so much as upon the Lord God who knows and is in control of all things. Our intense longing of spirit cries out to Him- seeking His will, not our own. It doesn’t mean human spirit to human spirit, but the spirit of the individual to God’s Spirit. His ways are far above our ways. We may not always understand why He takes the actions He takes, but we know for certain we are able to TRUST HIM in that He knows best.
As difficult as life may become sometimes and we face devastating experiences, we make up our mind in the beginning of our walk with God to trust Him, to put Him first. NOTHING WILL SEPARATE US FROM GOD’S LOVE. AND NOTHING WILL SEAPARATE HIM FROM OUR LOVE BACK TO HIM, except sin. The way we live for Him is the proof of the depth our spirit calls to His Spirit. Even though we are not perfect, we are walking toward perfection in living as sinless as possible, while trusting in Him. Yes, it is a good thing for our spirit to call out to God’s Spirit.
Sometimes it is so with the writing we do. In the times that we don’t seem to have the right word or words to use, our spirit cries out for more help from the Holy Spirit of God. Our main goal, as Christian writers, is to compose words that will bring God glory and to inspire others into a closer walk with Him. Sometimes it takes our spirit a while to hear what is being told to us. It is not that the Spirit is not calling unto our spirit, but it is because our spiritual hearing may be dulled for a time. Eventually, we do understand, and He is able to get us back on track to what He would like for us to share. Once more we place our trust in Him; not in our own abilities that He gave us in the first place.
The words we carve out may not be engraved in books, but there is a divine appointment for those who do read the word we have written. It is meant for them to read. That someone has a need that God is working on and our writing will help to prompt the reader in that direction; to whatever God wants to use our work for His purpose. This is one reason we should never become discouraged when it seems our inspirations do not seem to go anywhere. He always knows what is best in the divine engagement of the words and the reader!
In the writing we feel great about and in those we feel blasé about, we should give praise to God for the writing. After all, if we have sought the Spirit’s direction, we cannot claim it as our own. It is His to do with as He wills.
Another thing we may benefit from is to remember that He is still working on us; to mold us into what we are to be. He is not finished with us, and He is not through using us to write words to encourage our readers to call from their spirit to His Spirit. That is worth every word of inscription!
Today, tomorrow, and every day that we are used of God is all that we can ask for.
I must leave you now, as I have some writing to do, but before picking up the pen or controlling the mouse, I will call out to God for the right words to inscribe.
