She did not know how to get round it but had decided to share it with her care group. They affirmed that she had done the right thing. They even promised to rally round her in prayers, especially on the day of her test.
Having prepared well and prayed much about it, she took the test a week later. Thankfully, everything went on well without a hitch during the test. Although she did not make any mistake, the tester gave a wry smile and said,
"Since you didn't pay extra for the test, I'm afraid I've to flunk you."
Calmly, Jane bowed and uttered a silent prayer.
"Lord, I commit this matter to your hand. Your will be done."
The next two weeks Jane's mind was bombarded with images of the mean tester and his cruel words " I'll fail you!" Quite often she recited the silent prayers to counter them.
Meanwhile she was struggling with these thoughts .
"What was so good about taking the test, and to be informed that I would fail it in advance?
"Were there any valuable lessons from the episode?"
Hardly could she figure it out.
It was the second week after the test. From the infamous driving test center, she received a letter. Expecting the bad news, she opened the letter, and out popped the result slip. Pleasantly surprised was she when it stated that she had passed the test. Can you imagine the flood of joyful tears flowing from her eyes?
Later, she learned that the tester had 'accidentally' placed her test card under the green piles, instead of the red ones for those who failed or did not offer the 'gift'. Amazing, with her God nothing is impossible!
