She walked down the Maple mall street
Gazing through the windows of luxury.
O’ there she sees a gown so bright so beautiful,
Red and adorned with pearls.
“How I wish this for me? A present for my 30th birthday.”
But her empty purse gave her a glimpse of reality.
She had not a dime to call her own.
As she walks further she sees her bus coming from a distance
She’s almost late for work.
There, she sees two young men arguing intensely
She wondered why?
She pauses and watches closely.
Suddenly, the other pulled out a gun
And shiver ran through her
Yet she was curious to know the matter behind their discord.
As the other tried to escape,
He pulled the trigger
But sadly he missed
And there was the poor young woman
Lying in the pool of her own blood.
Some said she died an unfair one
Yet out of the mouth of a beggar who sat close by uttered, “curiosity killed the cat.”

Curiosity is valuable when guided by wisdom.
You wrote in an interesting form. At times I looked for rhyming words or same length of units.
It is just an interesting form that is easy to read.
Certainly on topic.
God bless~
