As I had my thoughts within me wondering if I had given my nephew a new song, a song from me that he would always remember me by. I listened to others as they spoke of tunes they would sing to their child as they rocked them to sleep, they cradled them in their arms, or sang the fear away. I thought, what awesome words that they had made, so creative, so gentle and loving and so true. I wondered why didn’t I make up a song that he would remember me, as I would cradle him to sleep, love him in my arms and sing to him daily.
Months passed and I would wonder every now and then of songs to sing, besides the only one I would day in and day out. I would only sing to him what I knew was always playing in me, what I had heard and learned.
Then one day I was praying with many women different ages, different races, and from different churches. When we just worshipped and sent our prayers our supplications up to the Lord.
Suddenly, in tears, desperately seeking HIM, loving him and pouring out my heart to the only one I truly love more than life itself. I hear a woman say to me as I’m kneeling in reverence to the Lord, head down and in prayer with tears flowing. She tells me “Jesus loves you.” I look up and say, “I know.” She repeats, “Jesus loves you.” I repeat, “I know and continue to cry to him. She then repeats herself, “Jesus loves you.” I say again, “I know.” She then looks at me and says in a different tone, “I LOVE YOU!” I look into her eyes with tears running down and I repeat, “I KNOW!”
Then, I bow my head and cried like I knew I had just heard the Lord talking to me, and in tears I continue to pour out my love to HIM.
Again, I hear the woman saying, I don’t know why, but the Lord wants me to sing this so just bare with me. She begins to sing this song, this one old song. I’ve heard all my life. That I had learned years ago and that I had so often sang.
Jesus loves you this I know for the Bible tells me so, little ones to him belong, they are weak but He is strong. Yes, Jesus loves you, Yes, Jesus loves you, Yes, Jesus loves you for the Bible tells me so.
When I had heard just the beginning of this song I knew that God was telling me my nephew had his own song. He would always remember me singing to him all those times I cradled him to sleep, singing Jesus loves you this I know for the Bible tells me so. In my tears and in appreciation of his love and knowing that no one even knew the song I would sing to him because I was always alone. I knew that the Lord was telling me that even when we think we are alone the Lord is there whether we see him or not.
To add to his love that day he also sent me my favorite scent of all, baby powder from Johnson and Johnson. How he would know my inner thoughts, my inner likings, and my inner parts. I am truly amazed of His love. He is truly all knowing, powerful, and all love. Elohim Emet
