He has no scores to settle.
He is always here,
And forever there.
Mr. Time is sluggish,slow steadfast,
He is full, faithful, fast.
He is surplusly insufficient.
He is effectively efficient.
He is with all men,
As with all women.
With him you have something to do,
And with you he has many things to do.
Mr. Time can be elusive, too.
For you can't keep him with you.
If you hold him, he evaporates,
At unusual and unexpected rates.
He is neither an enemy nor a friend,
You only need to blend.
It's wisdom to, with him, invest,
Rather than go to rest.
Mr. Time is simple and quiet,
When he comes to you, he'll be silent.
As he tick-tucks, tick-tucks,
Away,away he ducks.
He never tarries,
Because he flies.
You think you have him enough?
You cannot afford to be rough.
He is a man with many names,
As he plays many, many games.
Never think he's lame,
Though often he takes over our blame.
You may call him a season,
That may cause a treason.
He comes with an idea to propose,
But it may not be what you want or propose.
He is the center of the day
But never ready for a play.
He sneaks out in seconds,
In minutes. he crawls and responds.
He walks away in hours,
Whereas we think he is ours.
You speak of him in the night,
It might be at midnight.
He is there when you say "soon",
Or you talk of the moon.
He is there in the sunset,
As he is in the present.
He is the then,
And the when.
Anytime you see the rays,
He joyfully begins the days.
As you call him tomorrow,
He will not hesitate to roll,
To become today,
Only to fade into yesterday.
It is his nature,
To have a future.
He'll never fail to present
A sure present.
The future turns present
That becomes past,
Mr. Time grows old,
You don't have to be told.
As:
Days become weeks,
Weeks become months;
Months become years,
Years become decades;
Decades become centuries.

Love that! Keep writing!
