In September 2004, FaithWriters.com launched the first issue of its online magazine. While it started with specific departments, each with its own editor, it has since eased into a more relaxed format, with departments varying by month. But even with a few changes along the way, one thing remains consistent - the excellent content. Whether you stop by "A Merry Heart," for a good laugh or "Cyber Walk" for some technology tips, or "The Rhythm of Life" for a poem or two, FaithWriters Magazine promises to feed your spirit.
Magazine submissions are regularly accepted from FaithWriters 500 members. If you are a 500 member and would like your work considered for publication in the online magazine, submit your material to Deb Porter for consideration. Visit www.faithwritersmagazine.com for more information.
Can't get enough of the Writing Challenge? Check out the FaithWriters 500 Writing Quest Challenge, specifically designed for Faithwriters 500 members and the FaithWriters Magazine. A topic will be announced once a month and 500 members are invited to write anything they wish relating to that topic and submit it for consideration. The winning entry will be featured on the front page of the magazine the following month. Word count is not set in stone, but, in magazine editor, Deb Porter's own words, "please…no 'Gone With the Wind' entries. 1,400 words or less would be appreciated." For more information regarding the Writing Quest, visit the FaithWriters' Magazine forum on the message boards. http://www.faithwriters.com/Boards/phpBB2/viewforum.php?f=41&sid=304573487fa1a210a2ea51a8b47ee080

FROM THE MOUTHS OF FAITHWRITERS
(FaithWriters members respond to this month's intriguing question…)
"WHAT IS ON YOUR CHRISTMAS WISH LIST THIS YEAR?"
"Dark chocolate...I notice M & M's is making more dark chocolate selections in their candies. YUM!! And I hate to sound old fashioned, but with all the running around I do....I need socks. Because I am tall, I need "special" socks for "special" feet. I would also love to get a laptop someday...who knows? Last, but not least, I would love white chocolate macadamia nut cookies. A simple, yet elegant list. Oh - flannel jammies are fun, too!" - Kathy Bruins, author of "The Acts of Grace."
"An elf to clean the vinyl pond on a daily basis. Must be able to tolerate cold water. Able to catch frogs and other critters; and scoop leaves and debris as some occur on the surface or bottom of the pond. Dats my wish." - Charles "Dub" Wright, professional writer, writing instructor and New Jersey swamp lounger.
"To not only SEE my grandkids, but to be WITH them. We have a conference system through our TV so we will get to see them open presents and have a good time 'virtually playing' with them. But I sure would like a big warm Austin and Hannah hug!" - Pat Guy, writer, passionate FaithWriters member and message board moderator.
