I have been an elementary school teacher in both public and private schools. My favorite grade to teach was 6th grade. We did an interactive Civil War simulation which stretched the children to work together as a team and show leadership skills. I enjoyed writing and developing the unit into a 7 week study. It was a wonderful experience. Since then, I have taken a break from teaching to raise my children. This time has also allowed me to increase my Biblical studies and focus my creative writing skills. During the last few years, I have assisted with website development and writing market materials in the field of real estate. I have proofreading and editing experience in the pharmaceutical sales arena. In my spare time, I have been writing articles for publication into Christian women's magazines. Recreational opportunities do not often make it into the schedule, but I enjoy camping, reading historical fiction, spending time in the mountains and eating hot buttered popcorn at the movies.
