Born Again
Act Like It Then

St. John 3:3-8
I Peter 3:21

We have been afforded an opportunity that even the angels expelled from Heaven with Satan did not have. How can we the people of God take this so lightly? John 3:3, “except a man be born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God”.

Born Again means you are of relating to or being a Christian person who have made a renewed or confirmed commitment of faith after an intense Christian experience. It also means you have returned to or newly adopted an activity, a conviction, or a persona with a proselytizing zeal. You also bear the title of the family you were born into or adopted in, you hold up and support the family, you behave and conduct yourself as expected by the family and your features and characteristics testify of the relationship. You also testify that you are a part and identify with the role of that family, and lastly you never forget that you are a part of that particular family.

So in the family of Jesus, he has given us an opportunity to be a part of the body of Christ. He led by example as we also should. He escorted us through by way of the Cross, finishing the work he was sent to accomplish. He rendered Satan helpless and gave us help. He gave birth to the Holy Spirit that would once again come and keep man, leading and guiding him through the wilderness of life, strength to be productive in the Word, cause others to grow, hold on to the mind of Christ to see eternal life, give them the support needed to be a support to God’s vision for the church, He sustains us in this world with the essential help needed to bear the pains and hurts of life, allows us to know the difference in good and bad, being born again in Jesus Christ, accepting His Word, will and Spirit and cause man to assume his role as head of the family and help woman and children to accept the father as head. It thrusts everyone in order and causes them to press in the way when they feel like giving up. Being born again also causes the Christians to produce fruit as Jesus did, directing and situating that fruit in the way of Holiness. The same influence Jesus had on your life to erect change; should also be replicated in the lives of others.

Being born again helps one bear; having the power to sustain without flinching or breaking when we are faced with pain through tragic loss. It helps one go through the suffering by accepting it with courage and patience as Jesus did when he suffered many insults.

Being born again helps one to endure continually firm and resolute through trials and difficulties, even through rejection the way Jesus was rejected. It helps us abide in faith without resistance or protest even through rudeness. We are more tolerable rather than resistant that we do not protest even through injurious situations that by nature would cause us to be overcome with fear and successfully take control of any impulse not like Christ although it may be distasteful treatment.

Being born again will help one to stand, having the ability to bear this life without losing our composure when our tests come to take us out. We must be born again, the outward manifestation of an inward conviction with our personality and attitude being that of Christ Jesus. Our demeanor to others expresses a Christ like behavior. If we are born again we ought to act like it.

We were born of the flesh, Adam’s seed and God breathe the breath of life in us, now we are born of the Spirit, Jesus’ blood; he is the breath that we breathe.

The first birth we were born of the seed of man, the second birth we are born of the seed of the Spirit.

The last shall be first and the first last. The born again believer will serve one or the other but not both, there is a distinct difference.

In my travel through this Christian walk today, I have found that many Christians do no realize what being born again really means. Sit back and take the ride. According to Titus 3:5, it’s nothing we have done but Jesus is the way of God’s righteousness. We come to him through accepting the finished work at the cross upon the altar of our hearts. However this is only the beginning of the Christian life. We have to walk out Christ in our life showing forth our acceptance of the Holy Spirit given us to be born again. Acts 2:38, Peter tells us how we could be born again. He walked with Jesus and waited on the promise of the Holy Ghost Jesus promised them would come. As long as Jesus was there with them they had no need of the Holy Ghost, for the Spirit walked with them. The Christians of that day had striking features, was very religiously educated and they kept the rituals of that time. They did not want to accept Jesus but Peter had a Pentecostal experience after he was born again. He wanted that same Jesus that had given them the authority to go forth in His name making them Disciples of men. They baptized them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, teaching them to observe all things whatsoever he commanded them; for He would be with them always, even to the end of the world.

Before Jesus was crucified He gave birth to the Church, commanding the born again believer to do likewise; go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation, he that believe and is baptized because of their inward conviction shall be saved, but those that would not believe would be condemned. We are to preach in his name repentance and remission of sins to all nations. Peter used the keys Jesus gave him and obeyed the commands. Jesus has also entrusted into our hands those same keys; we are called to witness of the things we have heard, experienced and seen that others also would receive the promise of eternal life. Peter declared Jesus life, death, and resurrection in Acts 2:22-24. He quoted David concerning Jesus in Acts 2:25-28.

Being born again carries with it the same blessings upon Jesus’ life. We have been blessed with all spiritual blessings upon the earth as it is in Heaven. We must however continue steadfastly on the one way street Isaiah 35:8 tells us of, the Way of Holiness.

Being born again is a journey, we can never turn and travel the other way, for it is a one way street for the clean and pure in heart. Walk that you do not die outside of Christ, if you fall; get up quick otherwise you began to act like a beast you were not created to be or born again to be.

I Peter 3:21, we are to be like figures as Jesus, having a good conscience toward God and what he wants.

If you are a born again believer; act like it.
