Christians post the commandments wherever they can - like the problem was a lack of knowledge, but the problem is much deeper than that - it’s the human heart, so Jehovah said, “Thou shalt not kill.”

Jesus said if you hate it’s like killing and if you lust it’s like committing adultery. It’s not just our actions, it’s our attitudes and our heart, so the Almighty said, “Love they neighbor.”

We are not outright murderers or rapists, so we are blind to the similarities of attitude, how we attack and criticize one another, even among believers, we often “bear false witness.”

We are not awful people, just far short of the Master - using gossip and innuendo to belittle. Insecure about ourselves we try to destroy others, and many “take His name in vain.”

We say we are His, that we represent the Most High - while cherishing the spirit of the world. We glorify self and undercut those we dislike - it’s not God we worship but us, while
“having other gods before Him.”

We aren’t horrible, just ungodly - like the “accuser of the brethren” tearing down others so we look better. There is a reason we disregard the commandments, we love excuses to condemn peers as we fail to “love the Lord our God.”

No one goes to hell because they are sinners - for ALL are sinners. They go to hell because they weren’t born from above. People who are blind to their transgressions don’t seek forgiveness - they just go on breaking the command, “Thou shalt not kill.”

Abusers always have excuses - often they were victimized at one time. But instead of dealing with the original issue, they go on attacking others around them, so the abuser becomes one who “hates his brother” or as God sees it – a murderer.
