"The highway of the upright avoids evil; he who guards his way guards his life." (Proverbs 16:17)
Some people have a lot of trouble in their lives because they are always looking for trouble. They put themselves in situations where a prudent person might expect trouble. The godly person uses wisdom and avoids evil. By watching their daily walk the godly preserved their life, and are spared much of the trouble that could come upon them. This is not a matter of living a fearful life, but of using wisdom to live a prudent life. Guard your ways and you will be blessed.
