Are
You
Listening?

“Faith comes by hearing, by hearing the Word of God.”
Romans 10:17


“Have you got your ears on?”
“Can you hear me now?”

In order to receive what God has for me. I have to be listening AND I have to be open AND available. Where am I? Well I suppose that I am listening to my own self, my own circumstances. Do you hear it? Me, Me, Me. I, I, I.
It’s up to ME
I am learning. My goals are deeper today than they have ever been. I want to be saturated with Jesus and his love, engrossed with His presence, overpowered by His love. How do I get there? Listening first, and then opening up, to receive what he wants inside of me. There is not room for what I want and what he wants too. I have to let go. Replace the doubts and fears with expectancy and hope. Substitute my plans with His plans; replace my negative thoughts with His positive. This is my prayer for today:

Dear Lord,
I want to be like a sponge, soaking up you, filled with you.
Father, I get so much trash inside my head. Satan loves to drag everything in. Pushing you aside, causing me pain, giving me a spirit of pessimism, keeping my mind full of nothing. Emptying out my soul and filling it with nothingness.
Each day, every minute is a new decision. Each day is a new possibility. It is up to me to place the day into your hands. Help me Lord, to focus on living my life, not living my circumstances. Happiness is not the absence of adversity, but the presence of My Heavenly Father in that adversity.
Help me to sift out the weight that drags me down.
If Faith comes by hearing, then I need to place my ears open to your Word. Help me to read it listen to it, and rest on it.
I am encouraged by others that acted on your Word through Faith, stepping out in the water, reaching the Mountaintop. But, there is a valley between, and there are raging waters to endure. Sometimes I don’t know if I can go through. But, I know God you don’t really need me. I need you. I am NOT in control. I need to get that through my thick head. What I do with my life doesn’t matter, but what I do Through Jesus Christ in my life will last for eternity. Thank you Lord for sending a song, or a scripture at just the right moment:
“Just like a tree planted by the water, I shall not be moved.”
“I’m standing on the Solid Rock”
“Without Him I would be nothing.”
God, you have provided me with ears, but am I listening? Am I sitting still? Am I waiting on your guidance and YOUR answer? My faith cannot come from inside, I don’t seem to have any. Lord, send it from above, you alone strengthen me.
Open me up Lord and fill me,
I am yours.
