My baby sister only walked this earth for a short while
Yet I still remember her sweetness and her pretty smile
She was born in 1954 and went to be with Jesus in 1959
What a precious child was that wonderful sister of mine

I named my oldest daughter Deborah so her name lives on
In my memories I see my sister with her ice cream cone
We were carefree and happy as we played day after day
I was so sad when the Lord come to take her far away

I know that up in heaven Deborah is having a great time
She is no longer in this world filled with hate and crime
It won't be much longer and I'll join her in that home
Where we'll all live together and never more roam
