Prayers

As I go about my day
I make my plans
and think of the
past and the future

I sometimes feel afraid
or worried about things
I might be frustrated
or sad about a situation

Then I STOP!
I am forgetting
why I am living
and who created me

I am forgetting
to bring my ideas
to Jesus and reflect
on them in prayer

I am forgetting
I am not alone
That my peace
is with Jesus

He has given me
the emotional, spiritual,
intellectual tools I need
to live a faith filled life

I must remember to
always be in prayer
How can that be?
You might ask

I believe that
anytime I notice
beauty in the world
anytime I love

That is prayer
When I forgive
that is a wonderful prayer
There are many ways to pray

So, I laugh at my
big plans and my
feelings that keep
me from living peacefully

I ask Jesus for forgiveness
and thank him for the
wonderful life I have been given
Jesus, I give my life to you
