If I were the devil

I would whisper in your ear
I’d tell you what you want to ear

I’d teach your youth
There is no absolute truth

Education would promote the philosophy of man
And deny a Creator with a Master plan

I would demand the murder of the unborn
I would flood the media with porn

Homosexual relations would be acceptable
The definition of traditional marriage would be a fable

I would acknowledge Jesus as a historic figure
Mortal man, nothing less-nothing bigger

Religion would be a term for one’s own choosing
Everyone is right-there is no loosing

Drugs and alcohol would dilute the mind
Leaving self control and moderation in a bind

Compromise will be disguised as tolerance
Values and morals, one must not take a stance

Complacency would be a favorite tool
Action and caring would be against the rule

The pursuit of things would be paramount
Always needing more than you can count

Time would become my greatest ally
A single second, money can’t buy

If I were the devil

I keep everything the same
Why change when your are winning the game
