Healing
The wind just kept on blowing as I paused to stop and stare,
At absolutely nothing and the beauty I found there.
The little house in the woods, the solitude it brought,
The divine sound of silence, the endlessness of thought.
That hermit home was patient; my refuge from real life,
In finding if I was no more than mother, daughter, wife.
I leave without remorse, for that house has taught me well.
To taste the mirh of heaven I must sip the cup of hell.
The wind just keeps on blowing but, I will not stop to stare,
At absolutely nothing; beauty is not there.
