When my heart is shattered, a promise quietly unspoken,
When my journey seems pointless and I find my will is broken,
The glory of His righteousness drives me to my knees,
Overshadowed with the promise to answer all my pleas.
When my tears seem arrogant, yet make rivers down my face,
He casts a rainbow in my path with His never ending grace.
When my joys are fruitful, and my cup is far from dry,
He blesses me from Heaven's gate and sets my feet on high.
When I almost falter and my path is dark with night,
His angels do his bidding and nudge me to the light.
When my breath is labored, when my heart shall cease to beat,
My Saviour will then welcome me to worship at His feet.
