Hatred is such a waste. It is blackness of soul where the light cannot shine. It is corruption of the mind where thought is twisted and tortured. It takes its toll on the body, diminishing its prowess. Its corrosiveness drains into the gutter of hopelessness. What a travesty! It begets misery every single moment it occupies a human heart. It is choosing darkness over light, bitterness over joy, and turmoil over peace. It is the canker of the soul and destroyer of the body and mind. It disrupts families, destroys community, and sends nations to war which ends in death. And to think it is a choice!
Love and acceptance are highly recommended alternatives. Just from a self-preserving, common sense point of view, why would anyone choose to hate?
