Dear God, may we with bridled tongues say
only what you want us to say.

We go about our daily life thoughtlessly without it.
We mad or hurt, sin and forget it.

What are we to do? We keep messing up!
But why can't we stay strong, refuse to speak
corrupt?

I'm tired of it causing pain and tears
I HATE it! But do I really...
Then why do I choose it?

Some days we do just fine
pointing others to Your voice divine.
They seek us out, they call us wise!
But we are not, we speak what we tell them to
despise!

Why use us? We are Dumb and Weak!
Choose someone really wise and meek!

We choose our sin to follow him, to let him speak and hurt and mock and sin...

We HATE it! But do we really...
Then why do we always choose it?

God there has got to be a way out
We are not sheep to the slaughter as Paul wrote about.

He struggled with this too, what helped him?
What helped him be free of this dreadful sin?

Romans chapter 6-8 the answer must be
For he found a cure didn't he?

He said we could be conquerors, more than!
I'm sure in there he hatched a plan...mmm

So You gave us an answer for those in despair
This sin with YOU isn't too big to repair

I LOVE YOU! But do I really...We do!

"Then why don't you, my child, choose it?"
