What’s the Problem
I Can’t Life Right

As I lay in my bed this morning, my body was in pain. I had worked late yesterday on some spreadsheets and filed away the documents I entered on the spreadsheets to update them. Well of course when I got home I was exhausted. I put my regular medicines that are taken at night on the bed, when I woke up the next morning my neck, shoulders, arms, hands, back, legs and feet was in pain. As I lay there wondering why, I looked over and saw the medicine. I knew I should not have pain like that but then I saw the drink I was to take the meds with and it had never been opened. My God! The Lord told me, you have what you need but if it never gets inside your body, you will suffer because they won’t work just laying there in the bottle.

God has put in us, an innate desire for Him and His Word, a thirst. Christians we have what we need to live right. Jesus came and died in the flesh to show us that we can live Godly in this fleshly body if we put the right things in us. The Word does us no good just lying around our houses. It does us no good just to hear and not be welcome in our innermost being to sup with us after the sermon is over. Sup means you have not only heard the Word but you have allowed it to saturate in your heart and mind. You have allowed the Word to bring love to you, peace in your heart and joy in your soul and spirit.

The problem is I can’t live right. What is wrong with you? Why is the Word that worked to prick your heart when you first came to Christ not working anymore? It’s because you have it setting beside you but you only hear it and not allow it to come on the inside. Hearing the Word should cause a reverse action. When preached it should be heard in the ears of men and the preacher is to make the Word revelatory and desirable to the soul of man and not draw them to himself. He that has ears must come ready to hear and receive the Word. We should never come to Church with a spirit of lets get it over with. We should hear with an understanding and know that God is well pleased that you have applied what you have heard to your heart.

2 Timothy 2:15, Study to show thy self approved unto God, a workman that need not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth.

Because of their study habits, many do not know the Word when they hear it, so it stays outside the body and does the soul and spirit of man no good. We should know that this is not approved of by God and we should be ashamed of ourselves to have all this wisdom, knowledge and understanding at our disposable in our lives and allow the enemy to block our progression as it relates to our spiritual growth and well being.

In a symbolic sense, by the prophets Jesus and Paul’s life is as a pathway and anything detrimental to progress in that path is a stumbling block. The enemy of our soul blocks our hearing with earthly distractions. We should study to be quite, hear the Word, do God’s business, and take care of your own business in a Godly manner. Resist evil, go the extra mile to stay holy, live holy and stay with God. You have to fight the good, fight the faith with the Word of God. Jesus did not come into the world to be friends with the enemy; he came with a sword to cut down the enemy.

We must live peaceably with all men if it is possible but peace must first abide inside you. Keep the feast of the Word and not the feasting of men uppermost in your life. It is time we line our lives up with God and walk there in.

Romans 6:1, shall we continue in sin, God forbid.

Romans 8:1-11, there is therefore no condemnation to them that believe and do the Word of God. We are debtors not to the flesh; but to live after the spirit that we will mortify the deeds of the body. Only then can we be led by the Spirit of God and become the sons of God. How do we know, because the Spirit bear witness with our spirit that we are the children of God and God is the one that cause man to be justified. Now tell me who will separate you from the love of God? What will stop you from getting what you need to sustain a holy life in Christ in the Word?
