THE CLAY RECIPE

Lord, take this simple lump of clay
and sculpt it to your will.
Use your special recipe
and Master Sculptor skill.

Mix in the compound lots of hope;
knead abundant faith in too.
While pliable, add lots of trust
in the promises from you.

Put in it iron threads of strength
so it won’t collapse and fall.
A pound of courage wouldn’t hurt
to help the pot stand tall.

Then add a praise ingredient,
to worship you above.
Sign the pot and bake it
in the oven of your love.

Pour in your Holy Spirit, God;
fill completely to the brim.
Then give this pot to your Son Christ
to save and keep with Him.
