That We May Be Like Him

Some years ago. As I was looking at a poster, I saw a word written on it. It was either the word 'JESUSNAME' or the word 'JERUSALEM' but I thought I had seen the other, not until I drew closer. That simple encounter was enlarged and the Holy Spirit began to show me the similarities between 'JESUS-NAME' and 'JERUSALEM' and how our Lord Jesus wants his church to be like him. It`s the Father`s desire that we become conformed to the image of his son and I would like to share the revelation with you.

Firstly, if you look at the two words you would find out that they are both made of 9 letters. The Holy Spirit then began to tell me more about this mystery. JESUS-NAME is Christ himself while JERUSALEM is his body, the church.

In Gen 11, the bible tells us of men`s plan to build a tower and a city whose top would reach unto heaven. These people failed in their plan because God destroyed their plan. He was against it but unknown to many people God had a similar plan;
Those people planned to build a tower and a city that would reach heaven. God also had the same plan but his was a spiritual dimension. In his own plan, the tower is JESUS-NAME and the city is JERUSALEM. Prov.18:19a says - The name of the Lord is a strong tower. Also from scriptures, we know that Jerusalem is a city (It means city of peace). God wants JERUSALEM to be like JESUS-NAME and that is his present plan.

Already he has raised Christ Jesus and our Lord has been glorified and is now seated at the right hand of God (God`s tower has now reached unto heaven. He is the ladder (whose top reached unto heaven )that Jacob saw in Gen.28:12 and he is the son of man with angels ascending and descending upon that he himself talked of in John1:51. Jesus is perfect but the church(His city)is yet to be perfect. It is yet to reach unto heaven and so God is still building his church to be like his tower that has already reached unto heaven and his glorified, perfect and pure.

Nevertheless, we believe that the Lord`s church will one become perfect. Her top will reach unto heaven and JESUS-NAME and JERUSALEM will get married. The book of revelation tells us more. They will become one as a man becomes one with his wife after their marriage. There will be a new JERUSALEM just as our Lord was given a new name (i.e a new JESUS-NAME). JESUS-NAME will live in JERUSALEM as it is written in 2 Chron.6:6. and it will be a whole new world where man will be living with God and both will never be separated neither will they leave each other for ever. Hallelujah !
