Ever wondered who you are?Ever wondered how you came to be? Just keep your cool cos you need no consultant to unravel this puzzle.All you got to do is take a trip to Eden,to the time before there ever was history.The time when there was no creation,creatures or the work of arts!
But one day,when nothing existed and when all there's to be seen was nothing,something happened that changed the face of cosmos....
God created the heavens and the earth,the fiona and flora that formed a serenade of beauty upon the earth.The earth then became an abode for living.
But something was missing....
Then out of the mud,that dark cover of soil on earth,an ARTIST of sublime skills went to work.His hands crafted a grand sculptural piece which later was infused with life,the LIFE OF GOD!!
This creaure was called MAN and he has been an intrigue even to himself.He least understands what stuff he's made of,let alone tap all the innate powers,talents and gifts within him,all because,he is an extension of the TRANSCEDENT GOD.
For this reason,the psalmist ,David,the greatest king of Israel exclaimed in one of his poems ,"...Lord,what is MAN that you are mindful of him???"
From the foregoing,you can see that the preciousness of man is not quantifiable as no art connoiseur or collector can name a price worth his value.
This has enthused me a lot.And as I thought about this today, my reflection thus birthed this poem below.May it bless your heart and thanks for all the feedbacks from you all which I truly do apprecaite.

I AM A POEM....BY Felix Obi(18.08.03)

I am a verse, a scribble in the sand
I am a rhyme that has a beat
whose rhythm echoes from heaven
I am a stanza of the divine poem
A verse couched with hands not mortal
One written on the tablets of soil
cast and set in the garden of God

I am verse of life
A line penned by the Arch-Poet
A poem that reverberates life
And resounds the symphony of heaven

I am a song,whose lyrics are sublime
A song angels long and wish to sing
But have no privilege to rehearse
A song that enthuse the celestial beings

I am a full of glory and grace
A heritage site for heavenly tourists
Bedecked with splendour alien to onyx stones
Of brilliance that masks the glitter of diamonds

I am chip of Zion's mount
A scion of the Great Lion of Judah
A heir to the royal throne
I am not a mere speck of dust
I a poem, a song from heaven
The lines of a Grand Singer
The lyrics of the Divine singer
Yeah,a custodian of life!!!

Concluding notes:

More than a song,I am one for whom Jesus died.For whom he was crucified and drained of blood till he died! My sins he washed away,my filtiness he rolled away like a worn carpet and my uncomeliness he exchanged for beauty.In Him I have hope and from Him I derive my essence.His heart beat resonates in me.He's the consummate Artist,the creator of everything!!!
My source,my inspiration,my life He is and ever will be?
