Are you saved? Are you what the Bible calls “a new creation”? Or do you question in your self, if you are saved? What does the Word of God say about the subject of salvation, and the regeneration of the “old” person to the “new” person? The “old” walked in the way of the world and of self, where as the “new” walks in the way of holiness. Attempting in all manners to submit themselves to the will of God and thus is born again.
In John 3-7: Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
To be saved, we must be born again. Turning away from the sins of our past and moving forward in a new life, guided by the teachings of the Word of God and the leading of the Holy Spirit. This not saying that when we are saved, sin will never enter our lives. As we grow in the Lord, mistakes will be made. We learn and grow in what is called grace. Though as true Christians when a mistake is made we are convicted, and feel sorrow for the mistake. A true Christian, when a sin is revealed to them, will repent, and turn away. Our lives as Christians are an everyday learning experience. Learning by what we see in other Christians, and what we learn in study, and by revelation of the Holy Spirit. Each day we must choose to lay down our own will and follow the leading of God. AS Christians we must know that we are the temple of the Holy Spirit and must live accordingly. If we read in 1 Corinthians 3-16 we read:
Know you not that you are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?
Each day we will be faced with choices, and if we allow, the Holy Spirit will guild us. Revealing to us the things we have learned, and how to use them in each circumstance. A Christian is not perfect, but rather we are forgiven, and through our choice to follow Christ, he gives us grace to learn. Our God is the “author and finisher of our faith”. Which means that God will finish each good work, Meaning though we make mistakes, the mighty keeping power of God will continue to work in our lives. As long as we keep our eyes on Jesus, and lay down the problems within our lives at the foot of the cross, God will forever stay in our lives, and we shall meet with him in Heaven.
May each of us examine ourselves and how we walk, and live. Try looking from someone else’s viewpoint to get our appearance through the eyes of others. As God works miracles in our lives through Godly change, may we reflect that in the way we represent our Lord, and the Christian faith. If you love the Lord Jesus, and will to walk as he directs, then you are saved. Now simply let God work miracles in your lives as you grow in him.
