What Choice Will You make?

Choices; we are on a daily basis forced to make choices. Some choices we can think about, while others require us to make instant decisions. As we all know these choices we make, create the life each of us live. “For every action, there is a reaction”. Often in our growth as Christians we will make wrong choices. We must understand that though there is forgiveness in our lives, there is most likely a chain of events going to flow down. Much like that of the typical game of Dominos. God gave each person what is called a free will, meaning he is there to help us as we call upon him, but he allows us to make all choices, and decisions in our lives. Thus when we make wrong choices we in turn should know that a bad “ reaction” may occur, and we set it into action by our own free will.
In speaking on choices and these decisions based on a Christian view point, we know that the enemy will of course try to alter our choices to fit his plan, which of course is a spiritual death. In knowing this we must as every solider should be, be ready and trained A General from our history books once said “ The best way to defeat your enemy, is to know your enemy” All through the bible God’s people wrote and taught, including Jesus Christ on evil, and the tricks of the Devil. We are taught everything from where, when and why if we will simply read it. Sometimes our worst enemy can simply be ourselves. By knowing “truth” but making choices not lining up with that truth. Speaking of choices and decisions here on earth, and the subject of free will, let us look at Genesis 1-26
26And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
As we see God declared that we have dominion over all the earth, and the choices we make can and will affect the earth and us positively or negatively. As said on a Christian view point we will base our decisions on God’s Word and on his guidance. Now the Word of God tells us to be ready in season and out. Meaning like I believe the “Boy Scout motto said” always prepared. The Bible even tells us how to prepare for such things. Reading in Ephesians 6:10-18
"Therefore take up the whole armor of God that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one."And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints.
” If we read this we see that it says, so that we may be able, meaning if we don’t , then when it comes we will most likely, wont be able. Let us today reflect on the choices and decisions we have made, and are going to make. Consider what has been said, and let us try to make the choices based on the teachings we as Christians should hold dear. Let us be leaders of men, but followers of God.
