When burdens seem to be pressing you down
And none of those friends can seem to be found
That promised to stand by you when you've lost your way
And when turmoil and trouble filled your day,
Don't look to psychiatrists, drugs or alcohol,
But look to the one who has control of all
The situations that arise in your life,
Even the pain, misery and strife.
First, count it all joy, the things you go through
And be assured that no weapon formed against you
Shall prosper because the righteous is never forsaken
Nor his seed is begging bread because Satan has taken
The initiative to send his angels to pursue an attack
With friends and loved ones stabbing you in your back.
There is no need to fret or even fear
Because God promised to always be near.
When He said He would never leave nor forsake
Those who love Him and are willing to take
A stand to be a soldier, armed and ready to fight
With all of your strength and all of your might.
Keep looking to the hills from whence cometh you help
Because every promise God made, He's always kept.
