Prayers

Dear Lord,
This day has bruised my heart.
Nothing I can do.
So here I kneel with arms outstretched.
Crying out to You.

So many questions Father,
I give it all to You
Laying heavy on my heart Lord.
Heavy through and through.

Children Lord, why children?
So many of them crying,
Drug abuse, and alcohol.
So many young lives dying.

Comfort me Dear Father,
That I may comfort them.
Bless me with Your Holy Word,
To hearken unto men.

I feel so very small tonight.
So very crushed and weary.
A little lost, a little tossed.
Trembling and teary.

So here I kneel with arms outstretched.
Crying out to You.
My Rock, my Shield, my Savior.
Strengthen me, anew.
