Ergophobic¡¦s Creed

„« I believe that if anything is worth doing, someone else would have already done it.

„« I will never do more than is absolutely necessary except to avoid more work or find more suitable, logical excuses.

„« I will never, ever work my tush off without a life time consideration.

„« I will meet all of my deadlines in direct proportion to the amount of bodily injury I could expect to receive from delaying or completely missing the work.

„« I firmly believe that delayed work effort makes those not suffering from ergophobia develop new, astounding technologies and a reprieve from my work obligations.

„« I truly believe that work deadlines are unreasonable abominations regardless of amount of reasonable, rational time given to complete them.

„« At first if you don¡¦t succeed, delegate! Let somebody else do it!

„« I shall always decide not to decide! Unless somebody else decides to decide!

„« I will never begin, take the initiative, volunteer, or accept any additional tasks or tasks that someone else more capable can do! That is everyone else!

„« I will put off all work until tomorrow¡Kand tomorrow¡Kand¡Kforever and forever!

Don¡¦t work too hard! Ya¡¦ hear now!

Stephen A. Peterson, 2003
