Something to chew on, what view will you take, if you were asked?

The Architect

There was a brilliant architect, who was a gifted designer. In his heart, he had a vision of exactly how this house should be built! He sketched a three-dimensional blue print, so the builder would understand precisely the required measurements and plan.

The Builder

The builder reviewed the plans, thought it was an awesome design! As he reevaluated all the sketches, building materials, and the lot upon which the house would be built, he had a few ideas of his own. He didn’t think the architect would mind a few minor changes. Perhaps, he pondered; he probably over-looked these few things. His vision, he thought, would enhance the whole layout. So he changed and added to the original blue print. Now the house was ready to sell.


The Buyers

A family came to see this charming house on the large lot, with gardens, trees, and even a swing. A great place for children, plenty of room, great kitchen for Mom, a big cellar with workbench and shelving for Dad, even a double garage which was needed. So they were all in agreement, this dream house would become their home.

The architect was Yahweh/God, who had a perfect plan and purpose for this charming home. He was brilliant, gifted, all knowing, made a detailed blue print, so the home could stand up against any storm. The foundation was strong with a steel frame at the bottom. The mortar had cement over-lay, making it a stronghold against flooding. Many windows to let in the light, and hear the songs of the bird. He used 2 x 4’s notched together for framing, not the unreliable 1 X 2’s to cut the cost. Walls were plaster not sheet-rock. No corners were cut using plastic, but copper and strong material. There were hard wood floors, treated so they would not stain. The plans called for crown molding a thing of beauty, instead of just a narrow piece of wood for the ceiling. The roof was tightly fitted with tarpaper underneath each shingle, as protection against rain or bad storms. It is very important to have an excellent roof for it is a safeguard against destroying all the beauty inside the home. He designed the floor plan for comfort and charm. He had wisdom to know what lay ahead and planned for each challenge.

The builder thought he had the right to change the plans, not much, just a little that wouldn’t matter at all. His real motive for changing the plan was to receive recognition for his vision and ability.

The family thought we purchased the house naturally we own it. Should have stooped and thought, our home was designed by a renowned architect. We shall learn how to fully take care of our blessing.

We are not our own, purchased with a great price. You will never know How awesome it could have been, if you had followed the blue print. Not that our ideas are bad, but you can’t match His wisdom, see all of the road up ahead, or most of all see into the hearts of men.
