How badly I need direction and guidance in this year. Direction is one of mans deepest needs.
So many of my prayers raised for those closest to me are for them to be directed ,given wisdom, and
insight in decision making. There are so many critical choices daily. Lives can be changed for not only them, but also for all of those in their circle of influence.
Do you remember the childhood games when you were spinning around and around while you were
wearing a blindfold? You would twirl in circles until you became dizzy and disoriented. Your sense of direction was totally altered. Your friends would giggle and jeer as you would stumble around, gropig in your private world of darkness. Soon your turn would end. The blindfold was removed and your balance and direction would return.
In our daily lives it is no game.Yet,problems stress,or temptations can set our life into a spin! It seems like we are in darkness,unable to see our hand in front of our face. Where is God? What is his plan for me? What am I supposed to do next? Should I just grin and bear it, keep a stiff upper lip? Is it just fate,”What will be, will be?” Does God really care about my situation?
We can have Gods' daily direction, His tender guidance. (Proverbs 3:5-6) He will direct my baby steps. God does care about me, and anything that concerns me. (Psalms 138:8/ I Peter 5:7) Lord, I want to keep my eyes on You and The Goal ahead for this year.( Philippians 3:14)
