When tough times come and you are hurting,
When the devil has you on the run,
You're down and out, defeat looks certain---
Rise up in faith!! The fight's been won!!

It always suits the devil's purpose
To subdue your faith through fret and fear---
Though tempests billow on the surface
Call out to Christ--- He is always near.

He walks dry-shod, the storm-tossed ocean---
The wind and waves all obey His voice---
Hid in Him, the believers portion
Is to trust in Jesus and rejoice.
