Healing

Just because we’re Christians doesn’t make our hearts immune to heartache. Infact we probably feel it more acutely, because we need to have the sensitivity to feel the pain of others. If your heart is aching because of love then allow me to comfort you.

Did you know that, “God is nigh (near) to one of a broken heart and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.” (KJB) So take your mind off of the source that has caused you pain. Put your mind on God through prayer and the reading of His word, and you will begin to sense His nearness and comfort.

Did you know, “He sent His word to heal and deliver you”? You are His child and it grieves Him when you are hurting, the same way it grieves an earthly parent when their child is hurting. He would rather hurt than see you hurt. That’s why, "God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son ..." He sent us a savior Jesus Christ. The pain of our sins were transferred upon Him. Jesus is the evidence of just how much God loves us.

No matter how old you are, see yourself as God's child in need of the comfort of a Heavenly Father. There can be no doubt that He loves you. He sent Jesus to feel and heal your pain. So wrap yourself in the loving embraces of His word and nestle there while He pours the balm of healing into your broken heart. Keep your mind on Him and pray fervently for that one who has caused your pain.
