Heaven's heroes

The home of their youth they will see no more.
Due to the fact they were called out to war.

The loyal in uniform laid their life on the line.
Deep in our heart they are held like a shrine.

The red in our flag is the blood that was shed.
We must remember for our "freedom they bled."

Innocent truth was laid out in white.
That is what gave them the courage to fight.

The blue for bruises, their scars of the war.
That will stay in our soul and we can't ignore.

Liberty and justice for all was the fight.
The things they died for were given that night.

Say a prayer in your heart for the freedom achieved.
And those who lie lost, who war had deceived.

I thank God for the heroes and the freedom we see.
With God in heaven, they're waiting for me.
