Prayers
Lord
Great are the sins of this your child
Those things I should not do
That is what I do
And the things I should
I seem to run from.
Tormented day and night
By the passions of my heart
Knowing right and wrong
But choosing wrong anyway
Just what is it that causes this pain
Such a deep longing to belong
But somehow not quite acceptable
Always feeling so alone
Even in a crowd
Reaching, searching, desiring
Just something that is real
To know that first love
That comes from you alone
Lord great are the sins
Of this your child

Beautiful and earnest prayer. "For such is common to man." "We all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God." But we can turn even our failures to His glory when we continue to "strive for the prize of the high calling of God". The Lord Bless You -- Amen.
Great poem, sin is something we are never alone in but thank God we have an advocate in the Lord Jesus Christ. Lord help us all to never sin again.
