Ode to the moment, may it last an eternity,
as I sigh in the midst of its blissful embrace.
While watchful eyes gracefully capture simplicity,
the sunrays heat my skin
and my thoughts are renewed,
by the swelling breath of life.

From one moment to the next,
how much do we retain?
Or is it all just mundane?
We must make the effort to explore
that which we so easily ignore;
This multitude of God given treasures,
intended to enhance our pleasures.

Oh Lord, teach us to enjoy the moment,
that it may not be merely glimpses,
vaguely perceived and forgotten.
Allow us to enjoy the rubies and diamonds
found in a moment's treasure.

All stitched into the tapestry of time.
To capture would be sublime.
A day well lived is a day well loved
by embracing the many moments
of the simple pleasures of life.
