(Squint up at ceiling,
rather suspiciously.)
"You're not giving me
some Jewish GUILT, here.......
ARE Ya,
LORD?"

[CHUCKLE.]

"Cuz.....
it WON'T WORK!"
(Blow another raspberry
up at the ceiling fan.)

[SMILE!]

"FORGET about IT!"

[SMILE.]

"HEY!
(Determined squint.)
I already TOLD Ya,
BEFORE!"

"What is that,
Mein kinder?"

"The ONLY thing I
can trust YOU FOR
is:
HEARTACHE!
INDIGESTION!
AGGRAVATION!
MISERY!
and........eh,
....MORE....HEARTBURN!"

"Ah.
I see."
[LOVING GAZE.]

[PATIENTLY SHAKE HEAD.]
[GAZE AT A COMET
HEADING FOR PLANET VEGA.]

"WELL?
(Stuff another forkful
of lettuce* into mouth.)
(Talk through munching.)
How can Ya EXPECT
me to trust You,
LORD?"

[SERIOUS VOICE.]
"Because,
I AM
your Lord,
child."

(Puzzled squint.)
"But, what's THAT MEAN?
I mean.....just LOOK at
my past HISTORY
with YOU,
L...O...R...D!"

[GENTLE VOICE.]
"I am,
child."

"YEAH!"
(Munch. Munch.)
It's pretty SORRY,
INDEED!"

[GENTLE FROWN.]

"Certainly,
nothin' to write
HOME,
about!"

[TENDER VOICE.]
"Ah.
And, just what are
you doing now,
My child?"

(Thoughtful squint.)
"Oh.
Yeah."

[SMILE.]

(Cranky frown.)
"I guess that's
what I'm doin',
huh."

[NOD.]

(Laugh!)
"Writin' HOME."

[SMILE.]
