PS 115:12 The LORD remembers us and will bless us: he will bless the house of Israel, he will bless the house of Aaron,
PS 115:13 he will bless those who fear the LORD -- small and great alike.

Ever since I was a kid, I liked to think about God on a galactic scale. I’d use my imagination to see him walking around in our galaxy, holding up Jupiter, spinning the rings on Saturn, then twinkling the stars in patterns. I think it’s why the startling and amazing Hubble telescope photographs mesmerize me. As I grew up I realized that God is involved with His universe and our galaxy isn’t the only one. Then I started thinking about all the people who live on earth, or who ever lived. He still is interacting with those we call dead, but he calls “at home.” Does God really know me or see me? How can he possibly, after such wonders as the stars? Yet, he does.

I’m comforted to know that the Lord remembers me, and, if that’s not enough, he will bless us all, small and great alike. How like God, to have care for all. “Small” and “great” are our labels, not his. Although the Lord is our very great reward, we are the joy set before him. It pleases him to bless us.

So, be blessed today in all you are and in all you do.
