THE AUTOPSY

I wonder if autopsies reveal scars from broken hearts not healed
I wonder if they show the sorrows and tears and all the fears.
I wonder what it weighs that heart once from you it's torn apart
It feels a million pounds or more since you left for that bright shore.

I wonder if my smile can hide all the hurt that's stored inside
I wonder if somehow you knew what your leaving to me would do.
The nights with memories pouring in the hours pass with no end
I wonder if your seeing me as I see you could that be.

I wonder if autopsies shows the scars from life's many blows
Or just a body lying there devoid of life no story shares.
Though months and years will pass on by
I think my eyes shall always cry.

My spirit yearn to meet again in a day that has no end
I must believe that this is true and some day I'll return to you.
It just can't end this love of mine
We'll meet again somewhere, sometime.
