I must calculate, I must strategize
I have just got to fill up every gap
I must remember to think ahead
No loop holes hanging
No untidy ends left behind

Think, think, and think
Come on! Everything must be perfect
No slouching, no stooping
Heads up and shoulders high
No sign must be seen of imperfection
Nor outward portrayal of inadequacy identified

I say, I say
Woe is me! What is this?
A blemish, a spot?
A stain on a perfectly presented garment
All the hard work and brainstorming
Suddenly gone down the drain

How did it happen?
When did it happen?
What shall I do now?
There isn’t enough time
Any adjustments to make


‘Hey’! Slow down! Listen here for a minute!
I am the vine, you are the branches
My father is the gardener
You calculate so much, you scheme and plan
Leaning always on your strength and understanding
Are you wiser than the wisest?
Are you stronger than the ALMIGHTY?
Can you be more perfect than the PERFECT ONE?


Your strength is feeble beside His'
Your intellect is foolishness beside His Wisdom
Your planning and calculations are
Chaos and disorderliness in His presence
For without Him, you can do nothing.



“Come, let us reason together
My burden is easy, my yolk is light
ME in you is what makes it work right
LEAN ON ME and I can make it all so right”.
