Lord, you are the lover of my soul.
Oh how I long to know you more deeply,
Not just about you, though libraries would be filled with your many deeds.
But it is you I long to know.

There is no contentment in superficiality,
Take me to the depths and heights of my relationship with you.

Teach me of your majesty and your graces,
for you are my love.
I long to spend the rest of my days learning all there is to know.

Oh may I bless you in all my ways,
May my greatest delight be in serving you.
Teach me to honor you in heart and word and deed.
I grieve when I descend again to selfish ways,
But brighten at your abundant forgiveness.

Lord, your love amazes me.
May I learn to receive it, and then, in delight, share it with all the world.
