Hurry up Lord,
Sometimes it takes so long.
I know that if I wait on you Lord,
Nothing ever will go wrong . . .

I am not a patient one,
I know that I should be.
But, it seems that at times like these . . .
All I want is for you to,
Hurry up, please.

Sometimes Lord, you answer quickly,
And sometimes, oh so slow.
And I know I need the longer times,
For my soul to grow.

When I'm quiet and choose to rest,
The longer times are the best.
In you Lord, I find all I need,
As I let the Holy Spirit lead.

But then most of the times,
I'm in such a hurry,
And all I do is fuss and worry . . .

Hurry up Lord,
I need to get going.
I promise tomorrow,
I'll work on my growing.
