You can't chase the wind,
For it never can be caught.
But we often chase after dreams,
That we’ve earnestly sought.

As the wind starts to reel,
And spins out of control.
Sometimes our dreams,
Are not our real goal.

For the wind does its whirl,
From every direction at will.
And often we find our dreams,
So hard to fulfill.

Just as the wind gusts,
And can not be tamed.
Our dreams blow about,
Causing us to be shamed.

For the wind has a purpose,
As it scatters about.
And so will our dreams,
If we don’t leave Christ out.

If we can't catch the wind,
If it can never be stop.
Why then do our dreams,
Bring our tears to drop?

The wind goes toward the south,
And turns around to the north;
The wind whirls about continually,
And comes again on its circuit.
