Prophecy
On March 16, 2002, I was in my bedroom sitting at my computer engrossed in some work. It was quiet in the house as well as outside. Suddenly, from outside my bedroom window a Hawk flew low (there are a lot of them in the area where I live). I did not see the Hawk (they are in the eagle family) but it came so close to my window that it seemed like it was right outside. As it flew by, it sounded out that piercing cry that only they can make. When I heard this, it literally grabbed my attention and I gave instant heed to what I was hearing.
Without thought, I heard myself saying, “The cry of the eagle.” I knew there was a message from the Lord in this but I wasn’t given revelation until now, nearly five months later. Five being the number for God’s grace. And the number five also represents the five-fold ascension gifts of Christ from Ephesians chapter four. Coincidence? God always has purpose in mind in everything He says and does. Nothing with God is, as it were, a roll of the dice.
Approximately two weeks ago, while in an attitude of prayer the Lord said, “There is a stirring of My Spirit that’s going out across the land now.”
I could vouch for this to be true because the Holy Spirit had been for the last while, and still is, causing a stirring within my own spirit. He has been urging me to “stir up the gift that’s within you” (II Tim.1:6).
VISION:
On August 8, 2002, while reading in my devotion time about the gifts of the Spirit in II Cor. chapter 12, I was shown a vision. I put down my Bible and allowed the vision to unfold.
=========================
THE NEST
=========================
I saw a rather large nest full of little eaglets. When I say full, I do mean full.
Of Interest: In doing some study on eagle’s, I read that eagle’s nests can be as big as 8 feet in width and as deep as 12 feet, filled with sticks and such for bedding. If this is true, can you imagine?
As I was looking at this nest full of eaglet’s, I saw the mother eagle come to it. Watching closely, I saw her right wing stretch out as she flew by the nest. When her wing passed over the nest it created a wind and the eaglets began to be stirred up. When she passed her wing over them, at the same time, she sounded out that piercing cry of the eagle. The same kind of cry that I had heard five months earlier outside my bedroom window.
As I continued to watch, I saw the eaglets trying to lift themselves up after being stirred up. It looked as if they were now trying to get out of the nest while the mother eagle was close by looking on. The eaglet’s mouths were open and at first, I thought this was because they wanted food, but the immediate sense in my spirit said this wasn’t the case. Then, I knew. The eaglet’s, being so stirred were trying to imitate the cry of the mother eagle.
===========================
TAKING FLIGHT
===========================
Then, to my amazement, one by one, I saw each eaglet rise and leave the nest. When they did, instantly, they were full-grown eagle’s, sounding out the cry of the mother eagle. Instantly coming into maturity as each one left the nest, they stretched out their wings and began to soar across the heavens in all directions, north, south, east and west. The mother eagle was also in flight with them, leading and directing them. The sky being full of gracefully soaring eagles with outstretched wings was so awesome to see. All I could say as I watched them was, “Wow, Lord, that is so awesome.”
=============================
ASSIGNMENTS
=============================
As I continued to watch the flight of these newly released, full grown eagle’s, I saw some of them land on the roofs of churches all over, both small and large churches in cities, towns and rural areas. I don’t know the specific states they were sent to, I just knew they went in all four directions, north, south, east and west. Plus, the eagles weren’t sent to the states alone but to places all over the world. I also saw some eagle’s land on the roofs of government buildings and there would always be two or three together in these places.
Many of them went into the market place. Actually, I saw a lot of them in these areas. Some were perched on the roofs of businesses, city government, the media, radio and TV stations. They were moving in and about everywhere you looked, even in trees. Some were sitting on top of power poles, in trees at playgrounds, on the rooftops of schools, hospital’s, prison facilities, on the roofs of residential homes. In a word, they were everywhere. I sensed in my spirit that these eagles had been sent to change the atmosphere. When these eagles had perched themselves in their designated places, I saw them sort of adjust their feathers, as they seemed to settle down into their assigned place.
A matter of interest: As I did some research on eagle’s I learned, to my surprise, that an eagle has seven thousand feathers. God told Elijah, “I’ve left me 7,000 prophets that haven’t bowed their knee to them (false gods) or kissed them.”
=================================
THE CRY OF THE EAGLE
=================================
When I saw the eaglet’s leave the nest as full-grown eagle’s, they had imitated and sounded the mother’s cry as they soared off in all directions. When they had perched in all those designated places, at first, they were silent. But as soon as they adjusted their feathers and had settled down in place, in unison they all released the cry of the mother eagle. Mind you, all these eagles had flown off north, south, east and west and though they weren’t together in a bunch as they were in the nest, still they all sounded the same identical cry.
When they began releasing this cry of the eagle, I saw people stopping in the streets and looking around everywhere to see where the sound was coming from. From seeing their facial expressions, I could tell they were wondering what was going on? It was also obvious; they didn’t like the sound of the ‘something’ that had gotten their attention.
=================================
SILENCE THE VOICE
=================================
More people joined this particular group with each one showing their displeasure in the unsettling sound of the cry of the eagles. I could tell that they wanted to silence this voice because it was most uncomfortable and upsetting. I saw more people of this same mind (in false unity) come together to figure out what to do to stop the eagles. They made me think of a hunting party, planning strategy to capture the fox.
I then saw that these people had guns, rifles and all kinds of weapons in hand to try and silence the eagles. I saw them pair off in small groups of two’s and three’s, as well as some going off alone to try and do harm to the eagle’s. I could tell that many of these people were those of influence in the particular city where they were. It was obvious that they had been used to being in control but now all of a sudden, something had shifted dramatically and here were these eagle's crying out and upsetting things. Their faces mirrored angry determination as they set off to try and bring the eagle’s down and silence them.
====================================
‘THE EAGLES ARE HERE!’
====================================
At the same time I saw these vigilante groups, who seemed to despise the eagle’s, I saw other people in the streets and all over the place dancing and celebrating the arrival of these eagle’s. This group of people were rejoicing to hear the cry of the eagle. My impression is, they had been looking for this day to come and they weren’t surprised about what was taking place. In fact, they were happy about it. I had to smile as I saw one group of people holding hands while dancing around in a wide circle, laughing and shouting, “The eagle’s are here! The eagle’s are here!” It made me think of old times in western movies when you could hear people proclaim with gladness, “The Calvary has arrived!” On the faces of the people in this particular group, there was delightful joy.
==============================
CAN’T TOUCH THIS!
==============================
As for the vigilante groups, they fired off shots and did everything they could think of to try and silence the eagles. They shot their guns, their bows and arrows but every shot and every firy dart that was fired missed the target.
“Above all, taking the shield of faith wherewith you will be able to quench (reflect, throw off) all the firy darts of the enemy” (Eph.6:15).
“No weapon that is formed against you shall prosper...” (Isaiah 54:17).
Of Interest: I’m reminded of reading about an eagle in early war times who was named, “Old Abe.” The story goes that “Old Abe” liked to go out to battle with the soldiers. They adopted him to be their mascot. “Old Abe went through 42 war battles and enjoyed being right in the thick of things. The enemy soldiers fired at him and tried to pick him off time after time but out of those 42 battles of war, “Old Abe” came through them unharmed. The enemy always missed hitting this target. “Old Abe” never lost a feather.
The more the vigilante people tried to pick off the eagles but couldn’t, the more angry and confused they became. They would continue to fire off shots in the direction of the eagle’s but without results. Finally, I saw them, one after the other, become so angry and frustrated at their failure to silence the cry of the eagle’s that they started arguing and turning on each other. I saw some of these people throw down their weapons and put both hands over their ears to try and drown out the eagle’s cry. Meanwhile, the other people groups continued to celebrate and rejoice.
At this point, the vision ended.
===========================================
WHAT DOES IT ALL MEAN?
===========================================
The Nest: From the dictionary the word nest means, “A hideaway. Its also referred to as a hotbed (eaglets were being incubated just like God has incubated this company of prophets). It means, to build and to fit together snugly.”
I mentioned earlier that, according to an article I read an eagle has 7,000 feathers. Why not 6,995 or 6,999 feathers instead of 7,000? In Biblical numbers, the number seven is God’s perfect number which means, completion and perfection. The eagle is and has been identified with prophets and the prophetic ministry, while Jesus is the great Eagle (Prophet) Himself.
In I Kings chapters 18 and 19 is the story of Elijah and the great contest on Mount Carmel. The battle between the 450 false prophets of Jezebel and the true prophet of God was over worship. God wanted the people of Israel to stop listening to the false prophets and worshiping idol’s as their God. They were being called on this day to choose between worshiping the one true God of Israel or Ba’al (demon god‘s).
If you’ve read the account of this story then you know that as Elijah restored the altar of worship unto God, to show the people that He was indeed God. He also showed them that the idol’s they worshiped were nothing but blocks of wood to be burned up. Digging a trench around the altar and pouring four barrels of water around it, He prayed and the fire of God fell and consumed the burnt sacrifice on the altar, the wood, the stones, the dust and licked up the water that was in the trench.
After this display of God’s mighty power, the people fell on their faces and declared, “The Lord, He is the God; the Lord, He is the God” (I Kings 18:39). If you read on, you see that the fact that Elijah was responsible for killing all the 450 false prophets of Jezebel didn’t set too well with her. She made a counter threat.
I Kings 19:2, “Then Jezebel sent a messenger unto Elijah saying, So let the gods do to me, and more also, if I make not your life as the life of one of them by tomorrow about this time.”
At hearing this threat on his life, Elijah took off in fear and headed for the hills, so to speak. He finally came to a cave and he holed up in there, wanting God to relieve him of life. The Lord asked him, “Elijah, what are you doing here?” (paraphrase).
I Kings 19:14, he said, “I have been very jealous (zealous) for the Lord God of hosts: because the children of Israel have forsaken Your covenant, thrown down Your altars, and slain Your prophets with the sword; and I, even I only, am left; and they seek my life, to take it away.”
In verse 18 of this same chapter, God said to Elijah, “Yet, I have left Me 7,000 (prophets) in Israel, all the knees which have not bowed unto Ba-‘al, and every mouth which has not kissed him.” In other words, these 7,000 prophets are pure in heart and they will speak a pure and unpolluted word.
These eaglets in the nest that looked like they could barely wobble but who left the nest as fully-grown, fully mature eagles are a company of prophets that God has had in reserve. They will, as it were, in a day’s time go from immaturity to mature prophets, who know the cry of the great Eagle, Jesus. As Jesus said in the book of John that He only said what He heard the Father say, so will this company of prophets only say what they hear Jesus say through His Holy Spirit.
I heard the Lord say that “He had not released all of His prophets yet but that they were being released now, one by one. They had His Word in their mouths and they knew their place of assignment.” When I saw the eagles leave the nest, every one of them didn’t leave all at once. It was one after the other. This says that the Lord is strategically releasing this particular company of prophets that He’s had in reserve until “such a time as this.”
The Lord said, “There is a stirring of His Spirit going out now across the land. He’s stirring up a warring spirit among His body, particularly among His prophets and prophetic intercessors and all prophetic people in the body. He’s at work by His Spirit bringing people and giftings into unity so that they can, with one united voice, release a sound that will reverberate throughout the heavenlies.” The Lord said, “It’s the cry of the eagle. It’s the sound of a holy war cry. It‘s time to get on the offense by worshiping God in Spirit and in truth.” It’s about worship and war. The two running together like a twin waterfall, flowing into one body.
He said, “There's a true cry of the eagles coming forth to the whole body of Christ at large. This cry of truth will have a certain pure ring to it that’s going to pierce through and unravel the tapestry of lies the devil has cleverly woven among the Church.”
The Lord said, “This evil tapestry has been produced by those eagles who received a true calling from God but who have put themselves in compromising positions for self-glory and self-gain. Because of it, they have spoken forth tainted and impure words of prophetic utterance. Not all present day prophets have compromised. Many have been true and have spoken forth pure words. But what the enemy meant for evil to the people of God by the prophets who have not spoken pure words, He is going to turn it for good. He is going to reverse the curse, as it were. He’s going to reverse the damaging effects of this perverted out-pouring of contaminated words and bring forth healing and restoration to His people. He’s going to do this by an out-pouring of His pure and anointed Rhema Word.”
Eph.5:26, “That He might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of the water by the word.” The Greek translation for word in this verse is hray-mah. It’s the revelatory, prophetically spoken Rhema word of God by the Holy Spirit.
Psalm 12:6, “The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.”
Proverbs 30:5, “Every word of God is pure.”
The Lord also said that, “This Company of prophets He was releasing now would be quick to mount up to the Son (Jesus, the great Eagle---THE Prophet) and follow close behind Him in the Spirit. He, Himself, by His Spirit, would lead them and show them where the feasting places are (strategies given for enemy strongholds to be torn down) so that cleansing and restoration can come to the body.” He said that, “Many in the body have been infected to one degree or another with the poison of the serpents twisted words.”
Genesis 3:1, “Now the serpent was more subtle than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, has God said, You shall not eat of every tree of the garden?” (‘Has God said you can’t eat of every tree in the garden?’ God said they could eat of all except one, the tree of the knowledge of good and evil).
Mark 16:18, “And they shall take up serpents; and if they shall drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover.”
James 3:8-12, “But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.”
The Lord said, “These eagles that are strategically going forth now, in unity they will begin releasing a holy war cry into the spiritual realm that will ring throughout the heavenlies, and even reverberate throughout hell. It will cause a severe shaking and a deep rumbling in many foundations not Rock-solid and they will fall.” (At this point, I saw an apple tree being shaken and it’s wormy fruit rapidly falling to the ground).
The Lord also said, “The Islam’s have talked about “holy war” since 9-11-01 but the Lord says, “the Islam’s have no real concept of what true “Holy War” of the God of the universe is all about. But soon, they will know.”
God is not against the Islamic people. He loves them as much as anyone on the face of this earth. He is against the spirit of anti-Christ that rules them. God greatly desires for the Islamic people to be set free from this cultist and deadly religion and come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. He wants them to know that “there is no God like Jehovah” because He’s the one and only true God, Who is maker of heaven and earth.
=================================
GET AGGRESSIVE!
=================================
The Lord said, “He’s stirring up a warring spirit in His people and it’s time for His body to get aggressive toward the enemy’s works of darkness. It’s time to take back dominion. It’s time to take back relinquished authority that the body has carelessly given into Satan’s hand by being passive, much like Adam did in the garden. It’s time to ‘fight the good fight of faith.”
II Samuel 23:11-12, “And after him was Sham’-mah the son of A’-gee the Ha’-ra-rite. And the Philistines were gathered together into a troop where was a piece of ground full of lentils: and the people fled (ran) from the Philistines. 12-But he (Sham’-mah) stood in the midst of the ground (field), and defended it, and slew the Philistines: and the Lord wrought a great victory.”
Eph.6:13-14, “After having done all (that faith requires) to stand, stand therefore...”
God had tried to get a war mentality developed in the children of Israel because there were many enemies already in place that would withstand (oppose) them. These enemies would try to keep them from taking possession of the land God had promised them. The Israelite’s had spurts of this war mentality to show through and in obedience to God’s stragedy, they would go to war but they were not consistent. They had some great victories but they also had defeats that should have been victories.
And so, here’s Sham’-mah standing in the middle of a lentil field and going up against the Philistines. Sham’-mah took an aggressive action to stand up for, and stand in the gap for what rightfully belonged to him. I can imagine him saying, “All right, enough is enough! This far and no more!” Whatever your “pea patch” happens to be, whether it’s your family relationships, your children, your business, your church, your ministry, your health, your finances, etc., we can do as Sham’-mah did.
This is what the Lord wants us to do. Get aggressive toward the enemy and stop running scared from him. Stop running from those looming shadows that nearly seems to swallow you up at times. Instead, “Submit yourselves therefore unto God: resist the devil and he will flee (run) from you” (James 4:7). Besides, a shadow never swallowed anyone up because it’
==============================
EXPLOSIVE POWER!
==============================
There is a release and there is a gathering of the Lord’s true eagles. Just like the Mother eagle sounded the cry when her wing passed over the nest in the vision, the Lord says, “He’s even now calling them to come forth and soar with Him. As they hear the Great Eagle--the Warrior Himself, release this cry of the eagle. This holy war cry, they are to corporately imitate it and release it in unity in their assigned places
There is to be no more lone ranger prophets/prophetic people but rather, we’re in the time when God is raising up ‘teams’ like Paul and Barnabus to go forth proclaiming the gospel and speaking forth a pure ‘prophetic Word of the Lord.’ When these eagles, working in teams and being in unity of the Holy Spirit, help the rest of the body to come into unity in the bond of peace, it will release a volume of power that's going to rock the Church. It’s time to bring the corporate anointings of the body together so the explosive power of the Holy Ghost can be released to effect dramatic change in both the spiritual and the natural realm.
================================
TWO PEOPLE GROUPS
================================
The Lord said, the two people groups represents two groups of people in the Church. The first group, the ‘mob’ are carnal Christian’s who are satisfied with the status quo. They’re the religious group who likes things just the way they are and they don’t anybody coming around to tell them that they’re less than perfect. They will be easy prey for the enemy to actually use against the Church, although they think they’re for the Church.
The second group of people of those with a Kingdom mentality. Those with sword in hand and a banner in the other hand for they know how to worship and war at the same time. They will welcome and show appreciation unto God for the release of these eagles who carry the pure word of God in their mouth. This group rejoices to see the Kingdom of God advance and be established in the earth to usurp enemy strongholds.
==========================
CONCLUSION:
==========================
Let us be very careful to make sure that we’re fighting for the right side and not end up fighting in the wrong army and against God. May God help us to move out of the outer court and where we can allow the Holy Spirit to lead us on in to the holy of holies where we learn to see everything from God’s Kingdom perspective. The Holy Spirit will fill our hearts with praises unto our Lord Jesus, and teach us to worship Him in Spirit and in truth. While God will teach our hands to war, thus combining ‘worship and war’ for this present hour of the Church. And if you will get still before the Lord and know that He is God, you will be able to hear ‘the cry of the eagle.’
