Revelation 12:11, “And they overcame him (the devil) by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their life unto the death.”

We know what the blood means here. It means the same thing that it meant when God told Moses to have the people apply the blood of a spotless lamb on the doorposts of their houses. This was symbolic of the blood of Jesus---the perfect and spotless Lamb of God, being applied to our hearts. 1 Cor.3:16 says, “Know ye not that you are the temple of God?” House is representative of our earthly bodies---the temple of God. When the sinless blood of the Lamb has been applied to our hearts, God’s ministering angels are sent to assist us, help train us and protect us.

“And the word of our testimony...” Some people say this is our testimony of God’s saving power in our lives. While that's good in itself, I tend to believe it also means our confession of God’s Word in the form of testimony, which is very powerful. Romans 10:17 says, “So then, faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. Actually, this Scripture is talking about hearing the revelatory Rhema Word of God, which causes faith to come, as well as the Logos Word. This means, we need to HEAR the Word preached or taught to us. That's good and well too but it’s only part of it.

Not only do we need to HEAR the Word of God preached or taught to us, but we need to DO something ourselves to help faith come to our spirits. We need to read and speak the Word out loud so we can hear it come out of our own mouth. To do this, we need to set aside some specific time to read out loud so we can HEAR. And as you read the Word out loud, make it personal because it is God speaking directly to you. That Bible is yours and it’s God’s Word to you personally. For example, John 3:16, read it out loud this way, “For God so loved ME that He gave His only begotten Son that if I would believe in Him, I would not perish but I would have everlasting life.” That's personally confessing God’s Word.

From out of your own mouth and with the Word of God, you need to declare who you are in Christ (the Anointed One). And don’t forget, you can’t be IN Christ without being IN His anointing as well. You need to declare that you’re filled with the fullness of His presence. Take your Bible down out of the bookcase, dust it off and ask the Holy Spirit to give you the Scriptures you need to declare specifically for you and your family. Once you’ve made you a list, don’t pack it away somewhere and forget about it. Put it somewhere that you can see it easily and be reminded to pray and make your ‘prophetic word declarations.’

Not only do you want to declare who you are in Christ---you’re a child of God, His heir and joint-heir with Jesus (Romans 8:17). You’re God’s workmanship, created in Christ unto Good works, preordained for you that you should walk in them (Eph.2:10). You’ve been redeemed by the blood of the Lamb (Gal.3:13). You’re healed by the stripes of Jesus (I Pet.2:24). I think you can see what I mean and add other things the Lord brings to your mind for you.

You also want to declare that you can DO what the Word of God says you can do. Phil.4:13,”I can do all things through Christ (the Anointing), which strengthens me to do things SUPERnaturally.” Stand up with your Bible and declare what God says you have in His Word. You have it, whether it’s manifested in reality yet or not. It doesn’t change the truth that you already have everything God made for you to have. Now, all you have to do is just believe His Word, declare it and receive it. Amen! Praise the Lord! “He gives us all things to enjoy"

(I Tim.6:17) You also want to declare what God’s already done for you because you need to always be thankful. But declare what He’s doing presently in your life, and declare what He’s promised for your future. Declare that you’re made complete in Him (Col.2: 6-10--2 Peter 1:2-4). After a time of confessing these Scriptures and others by an act of your faith, not feelings, you’ll begin to see change. You will find that you’re becoming stronger in the Lord and in the power of His might (Eph.6: 10). When this happens, you’ll be better able to say in the authority of Jesus name, “If God be for me, who can dare be against me? I gloriously conquer through Him who loved me and gave Himself for me.”

We make these faith declarations before God, the Father. Before Jesus, the Son, before the Holy Spirit, the Comforter. We do so before the heavenly host of angel’s, as well as before Satan, his demons and all of hell, that we ARE who God says we are. These consistent confessions of God’s Word will begin to shift our focus from our weakness, insufficiency and feelings of worthlessness. It will also put into perspective our foolish prideful attitudes in thought, speech, and action of self-sufficiency. By the blood of the Lamb and by the word of our testimony, we WILL overcome the enemy. The atmosphere will be so charged with the anointing. The power of the Word and coupled with our faith will be so energized by the anointing, that any demon spirits will be bumping into each other because they can’t leave fast enough.

Hallelujah! Praise God! I like that picture, don’t you? Amen! They’ll be so sick of hearing about Jesus and His Word. Isn’t that good news? We ARE world over-comers through Christ (the Anointed) Jesus! Hallelujah! But don’t forget that it’s very important that you know not only who you are in Christ, but who He is in you. And any believer that doesn’t know this for himself/herself as you are indwelled by the Holy Spirit, will be defeated for most of your Christian life. So, I encourage you to get into God’s Word and allow God through His Spirit, to tell you just who you are in Him and who He is in you. And be ready for some good things to happen through the blood of the Lamb and by the word of your testimony.
