What does it take to find faith? You can call it prayer, or you can say you meditate. Still, the fact remains that if you try to reach some kind of higher being, which to me would be God, it means that you have at least an ounce of faith. It takes faith to pray. Otherwise, why would you bother? We all intuitively know that there is something more out there some where, with the power to answer prayers. The key is in developing a stronger faith through the belief that what we ask to receive, through faith, will be given to you by that higher and powerful being.



Even science proves there’s a universal force that reacts to what we think, say, pray for and do. We are like magnets which attract people, things and happenings based upon our negative or positive view. Whatever you believe becomes your reality, because thoughts become things. It’s what we human beings do. We create things. It’s a fact of truth that can’t be denied, even if you don’t believe in a personal God who loves you and delights in giving you everything you need and then some. No one argues with the law of gravity. We know it’s true that what goes up must come down, but the law of attraction is just as true. It’s a rule and a tool God gave us to use.



The question to ask is how do our thoughts become things? Just think. Look around your town or even just your house and try to find one thing around that was not created by something or someone. The car in the driveway was once a thought in someone’s mind long before it arrived. Your house and everything in it required the same thinking, along with the belief that the thought could become a reality. The grass and trees in your yard grew from seeds created by something.



Einstein called it the law of relativity, and he was actually able to prove that the universe had a beginning. The fact that the universe expanded meant to him that it had to begin at some point in time by a source of the force which created heaven, earth, everything within the universe and mankind. What else could the source of that force be, but God the highest source, of course? Even so and although Einstein proved the existence of a creator, since he did not believe in a personal higher being, he died obsessed with finding something he could never get. That’s why faith requires that we believe in something we can’t prove, but know deep within our soul, it’s true. Einstein knew it too, but he refused to believe that if he couldn’t put it into a mathematical equation, there would be no sense in believing.



Because that’s true, common sense doesn’t have to go with prayer or faith, except for the common sense it takes for the faith to believe that God does exist. You can call him a higher being, a unified filed, the source of all living things, or Jesus Christ, but if we can agree that there has to be one source to everything in existence, it simply makes sense that God exists. Since that’s true and since we seem to be created in His image, this means that we have the power to create things too. That’s why we pray and why it takes faith to pray.



Prayer is a thought of something we visualize in our minds and want to create into our reality, which means to receive. It might be assistance with a personal issue, good health, wealth, someone else or anything and everything a human being can think of. When we pray and visualize in our minds that we are speaking to a higher being with the power to provide what we request to receive, we are in essence, stating our belief in God and His power. With this in mind, we pray as a way to believe God’s power is within us, and I believe that God’s answer to each and every prayer is always the same, no matter what we pray. It’s as if he whispers in our ears, “Look inside for the power I’ve given you, my dear.”



Jesus Christ said it himself, so it’s no, “secret.” He made it very clear that all we need to do to receive anything is to ask and believe that what we ask to receive with faith will be received. With this in mind, to find faith inside, all you need to do is to ask God to give you the faith it takes to believe. With this said and done, faith comes. Faith begins with a thought in your mind that you visualize. From there, be aware that everything you say and do will either create faith or keep it from you. If you doubt that faith will ever be found, that doubt will block the faith from being received. We must open our view to what faith means, through positive thoughts that what we believe must become our reality.




Faith is the key to prayer working, but what most people forget is the first step in the process. We have to ask before we can receive anything. God gave us a will that is free, so by asking we are expressing our belief in the power of God to do what has to be done to receive what we want or need. Prayer becomes God’s command to the universe which must attract to us what we ask, faithfully to receive, but if we forget to ask, what we wish and dream of receiving remains hidden from our view, waiting for the faith it takes for the universe to deliver it to you.




There’s a story that expresses it best, when a man died and reached the gates of heaven. When he arrived, Peter was there to greet him. Upon opening the gate, he asked the man, “Do you want to look around?” The man agreed, so Peter took him to a room where the man’s name was engraved in gold on its door. “What’s inside,” the man asked? Peter bowed his head as if sad and asked, “Are you sure you want to know?”



The man was curious by then, so he begged fro Peter to open the door. When he did, the man’s eyes opened wide with surprise. “Oh my, I can’t believe my eyes!” Everything the man ever dreamed of receiving was inside. In the far corner sat the house of his dreams, the car, rings, things, a nice, big family and all the success he never achieved. After a moment or two of shocked disbelief, the man turned to Peter and asked, “Why did I never receive any of these things in my life?” Peter smiled and shook his head when he said, “I’m sorry my friend, but you never asked for them.”



So you see, the key to receiving anything, is to ask and believe that God wants you to receive more than you ever dreamed to ask for. If it’s faith you need, just ask to receive it. When you do, believe that God will give it to you. In the mean time, as you wait for faith to arrive, keep praying every day. Ask for anything you need, and when it’s received, recognize that it came from the faith God gave, and don’t forget to say, “Thanks.”


An attitude of gratitude will bring faith to you much faster and easier than doubts ever do, so use that gratitude with everything you think, say and do to receive the faith it takes to move mountains if you feel the need. With faith, you can be as wealthy as you believe yourself worthy to be. You can live abundantly blessed. Just ask, believe and receive. That’s what faith means and what it brings.
