Contagious

I feel there is something I should tell you... You are contagious. But do not fret, because I am actually contagious as well. No, I am not talking about the summer flu season. Our attitudes and our joy, or lack thereof, are contagious to those around us.

Think about it, just like the flu, our attitudes can either repel others or affect others. I don't know about you, but I hope to affect others in a positive way. Unfortunately, it is easy to get into a rut. If you are around "Negative Nelly" enough, eventually, some of that negativity will rub off on you; and before you know it, you are the Negative Nelly.

Have you ever been around someone who was so full of the pure joy of the Lord, that it was inspirational to just be in the same room as them because that joy overflowed into everything and everyone around them? What would it be like if all of us allowed His joy to fill us up and overflow into our surroundings everywhere we went during the week? How exciting it would be to see the "joy bug" spread around like wildfire!

Even if we are going through the most difficult time of our lives, if we allow the Lord's joy to fill us up, we will be blessed beyond measure and what a powerful testimony to others!!

Though the cherry trees don't blossom
and the strawberries don't ripen,
Though the apples are worm-eaten
and the wheat fields stunted,
Though the sheep pens are sheepless
and the cattle barns empty,
I'm singing joyful praise to God.
I'm turning cartwheels of joy to my Savior God.
Counting on God's Rule to prevail,
I take heart and gain strength.
I run like a deer.
I feel like I'm king of the mountain! (Habakkuk 3:17-19 The Message)

God Bless You!
