Poetry
Oh memory, my memory…from birth your slate is as white as snow…
Oh memory, my memory…your capacity is beyond what can be foretold…
Oh memory, my memory…the years will taint the white with a dingy yellow glow…
Oh memory, my memory…you’ve told stories for the entire world to behold…
Oh memory, my memory…your treasures are hidden deep within my terrain…
Oh memory, my memory…your secrets whisper as a delicate, gentle rain…
Oh memory, my memory…you gather the joys and pleasures of my soul…
Oh memory, my memory…you tenderly protect all pain, as if unblemished ornate gold…
Oh memory, my memory…you softly speak of the things I hold dear…
Oh memory, my memory…you revisit the innocence of my impressionable soul…
Oh memory, my memory…you sort out all questions and make them more clear…
Oh memory, my memory…you give me courage to face what I fear…
Oh memory, my memory…I hear the songs you desire to sing…
Oh memory, my memory…ahhhh…the sounds of laughter that you bring…
Oh memory, my memory…you embrace the blows of inequitable abuse…
Oh memory, my memory…you’ll create a haven for all those whom are misused…
Oh memory, my memory…take not your precious gift, oh how I plea…
Oh memory, my memory…your secrets and depths I do not want to conceal…
Oh memory, my memory…your vessel awaits to shine forth through me…
Oh memory, my memory…your recondite mysteries, for me to reveal…
Oh memory, my memory…graceful maturity sweeps chivalrous upon me now…
Oh memory, my memory…you’ve been given a summons to take your final bow…
Oh memory, my memory…you may close your doors to those whom may search for thee…
Oh memory, my memory…your secrets are safe, through the windows underneath my brow…
Oh memory, my memory…my cogitation slowly fades with each feeble step…
Oh memory, my memory…I can hear you gasping for your final breath…
Oh memory, my memory…you are all that I notably have left…
Oh memory, my memory…I will fight for you until your inevitable imposed death…
Oh memory, my memory…you may have sung your final song…
Oh memory, my memory…but it won’t be abandoned for very long…
Oh memory, my memory…I will wait patiently and in anticipation of thee…
Oh memory, my memory…’til we meet again in Heaven, where death cannot steal thee from me…
