Whispering in the dark of night,
Continues through the morning light;
Speaking so softly, I must strain to hear
This Voice so lovely to my ear.

Along the path whispering guides me still,
And even when I think I've had my fill,
He keeps on speaking His sweet refrain
Of crowns of glory in His holy domain.

Whispering motivates my soul
To rise up, to be made whole.
I know it will take my whole life through,
But in the blink of an eye,
It will all come true.

Without spot or wrinkle-
In just a twinkle
This earthly form will fall away;
Exposing the work of His holy hands
In a form that's all brand-new.

Whispering in the dead of night
Always keeps my goals in sight.
It makes me rise up from my bed,
When I would rather sleep instead.

Whispering is a useful tool,
It cuts the facets of this costly jewel;
It drives me onward to do what I must,
When He speaks, no if's, and's, or buts!

I've learned by being put on the shelf,
By going my own way,
That it is always best to
Hear Him whisper,
"Thou good and faithful servant."
