Faith
My greatest need ever
Was to reach out to you
It was the one right thing
In all meekness, I would do.
A small piece of your Robe touched my hand
And then my ears opened to understand
The timeless songs of faith, love
and virtue.
I reached out to touch
Needing you so much
Broken and blind…
It was you, Lord Jesus
I needed to find.
I reached out to touch
That which is pure and true.
Your righteousness rained on me
Through and through.
You held me close all along
In your silent wounds of blue.
Your nail-pierced hands
Help carry me to …
The golden promised Lands.
Luke 8:46 And Jesus said, Somebody hath touched me:

Great poem. Wonderful picture to go with it. There is only ONE SMALL thing you might want to fix--very minor: "The timeless songs of faith,love and virtue." (a space after the comma)...Helen
