THE STORY OF OUR LIVES

We are writing the story of our lives
Although we may not know it
The things we do - the words we say
Are tell tale signs that show it.

We all are authors, unbeknowing to some
And our Editor's simply the best
Who judges each thought and intent of the heart
He can do nothing less!

He works without pay and never rests
And when the project is through
Not one error will ever be found
When it's pages are scrutinized too.

The witnesses listening and watching as well
As your Book is being read
Sealing the fact of your authorship
By every word you have said.

Not one shall stand with britches thumbed
And say, "Yes", "This Book is mine!"
But will be on their knees, begging for grace
From the Chief Editor, Who is Divine!

So carefully think and measure your words
In fact, He says, "Let them be few!"
And the intents of your heart? Let Purity reign!
Make your Editor proud of you!
